Nutmeg TU needs volunteers to further its mission.
- Some work with youths through our Woolly Bugger and Trout in the Classroom programs.
- Some put shovels in the ground, restoring streams around the Fairfield County area.
- Some help plan chapter events, such as fishing outings, the holiday party and the annual banquet.

I am a lifetime member of TU and would like to volunteer within the Nutmeg area. How do I go about this?
We have a virtual meeting on Zoom at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18. Attend that (link on the main site) or email admin@nutmegtrout.org and we’ll get back to you.
Thanks for reaching out.
I have a boy scout or 2 that want to do some conservation work hours. Do you have any restoration projects going on this summer? Today is June 13 and they is looking to helping out with something now that school is (almost) out. Thank you!
Hello,
My name is Max Smokler and I am in 9th grade at Greens Farms Academy and I would love to volunteer for your program. Please let me know what I can do.
Thanks,
Max
Hi Max, thanks for offering to give us a hand! We don’t have any events planned right now, but I’m sure we’ll need some help when spring arrives. We’ll send you an e-mail when we have an activity you can help with.
